The CPT medical staff provides comprehensive medical assessments for children who have suffered some type of abuse or neglect.  In addition, some children are seen when there are concerns that they may be living in an environment that is threatening to their health and well-being.

The goal of the medical assessment is to detect, diagnose, document and treat any injuries or conditions that have resulted from abuse or neglect. A medical assessment includes a complete medical history, thorough physical examination, developmental screening, diagnosis, treatment as appropriate, and referrals for continuing care and counseling.  Each child is treated with respect and care. The child's developmental level guides our approach to the examination.  The medical assessment proceeds at the child's comfort level - no child is ever forced to have a physical examination.

The CPT medical staff is on-call 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
